Knox County Sports Recap for Wednesday

The Vincennes Lincoln volleyball team lost at Class 2-A number five Barr-Reeve 3-0.  Matti Collins had 12 assists for the Alices while Kiaya Farrar added five kills.

Barr-Reeve won the JV match 2-0.  Ciarra Herron had seven digs for Lincoln.

 

The South Knox Volleyball team lost at Evansville Christian 3-1.   Morgan Obermeyer had 13 points and 11 digs for the Spartans.  Madison Parrish added ten points

And 29 digs while Ava Steefy chipped in with 20 assists.  Evansville Christian won the JV match 2-1.  Maddie Short had seven points and eight digs. 

 

The Rivet boys soccer team beat Mt Carmel 3-1.  Gabe Dodd, Walker Lane and Beckitt McGuyer all had goals for the Patriots.

 

The Rivet girls soccer team posted a 2-1 win over Northeast Dubois.  Elle Stoelb and Kevi Black each had a goal for the Lady Patriots, who can wrap up the Blue Chip Conference Crown

With a win on Saturday morning at Shoals.

 

Congratulations to South Knox Senior Eliza Dellinger, who was named to the Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association academic all-state team.  Dellinger was

One of 15 selected to the squad.  Ashley Kirkland of Castle and Brynna Knepp of Barr-Reeve were also named to the squad.

 

Middle School Sports

 

Clark girls soccer team beat Washington 3-0.  Azaria Easley, Brinley Catt and Ella Wanke had the goals for Clark.

 

The Clark Middle school 8th grade volleyball team downed Washington 2-0.  Lauryn Kiel (Keel) led CMS

With eight kills while Hadley Piper added eight assists.

 

The Clark golf team beat Linton 123-136.  Gavin Catt of Clark was medalist with a 29.  Austin Pinkstaff shot a 30 and Rylan Hunckler a 31.

 

On the local sports scene for today.

The Vincennes Tennis Sectional gets underway tonight at the Lincoln Courts.  The Action begins at five when the host Alices take on Rivet and South Knox battles Washington.  The two winners will square off tomorrow night for the championship.

The Lincoln Volleyball team hosts Evansville North at six.  You can watch the varsity match live streamed on the TOC Sports Network at wzdm.com.

Rivet will host Wood Memorial in girls volleyball at 6:30.

On the Pitch….

The Lincoln Boys and Girls soccer teams host Evansville Reitz.  The girls begin at six with the boys at eight.

The South Knox boys soccer team hosts Wood memorial at six.

The South Knox Girls Soccer team will play at Wood Memorial at six.
